Social Services
1) Because of the common sins accumulated due to our ignorance in this degenerating time, natural disasters such as earthquakes, flood, fire-dangers, thunderbolt, falls of shooting stars and various diseases as well as man-made tragedies like traffic accidents and killings unnecessarily are increasing around us. During such a time, our prayers and wishes are to the local people with a sincere hope of betterment for them, and practically helping the victims of natural disasters like flood, earthquakes and fire, and traffic accidents by providing essentials to the needed.
2) We also provide our counselling services to prisoners in prisons. A prison is usually the place where sinful and ignorant people doubling their sins by not knowing the way of dharma. Our plan is to make those people to understand dharma through counselling and actually change their perspectives. For that, we invite Khenpos, Trultus and Geshes to give dharma talks in prisons.
3) People with deadly diseases like cancer are usually the vulnerable ones, often depressed and unhappy. We provide dharma-counselling services for them as well. Our teachers will offer dharma talks to smoothen their emotional levels and guide them to the practice of dharma to heal their depression and hopelessness.
4) Our members created opportunities for university students, who are interested in learning and practicing Buddhist philosophy, to study and practice Buddhism at introductory levels. Moreover, for those individual students who wish to gain more Buddhism related information, we provide the information they need.
5) Every year we organise food-give-away festivals on special occasions in the main cities like Taipei city.
