Yesterday a very serious traffic accident occurred in Taiwan. So far, 51 people have been killed, making it the most serious traffic accident in this area. The news came that all people in Taiwan were immersed in immense grief. People from all walks of life and religious circles gathered in Hualien to mourn the dead and pray for them. After the ITB got the news, it immediately invited dozens of Khenpo, Geshe and masters from all over Taiwan to Hualien, and soon arrived at the mourning hall, specially set up for the victims to supervise them. They prayed and recited mantras for the dead to their ascendance to heaven. They also recited the Medicine Buddha and Longevity Buddha mantras for the wounded.  The hour-long chanting of the Tibetan Buddhist Khenpo and Masters for the victims was included in the official chanting list of Hualien County. The masters prayed for the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas with unconditional love and compassion, and performed transcendending empowerment and chanting for the victims.
